About the illustrator

During my graduate studies at the University of Toronto, I discovered the importance of visual discernment during dissections, surgeries, and laboratory procedures. This inspired me to merge my scientific knowledge and creative skills to make complex ideas more accessible through visual media. My background in research and communication equips me with the tools to translate scientific information into effective design.

In September 2026, I will be entering the MSc in Biomedical Communications Program at UofT to become a certified Medical Illustrator!

As a child, I trained in pencil drawing under realist artist Melissa Schatzmann and watercolor painting under Sharon Bower. As a pre-teen, I sold my watercolour greeting cards at local markets in Belleville, ON and in university, I sold paintings for a Project Sunshine Canada fundraiser through my social media. 

In 2025, I enrolled in several courses at Toronto School of Art, including Life Drawing and Gesture Drawing courses, Portrait Drawing, and Structural Drawing to improve skills for my portfolio. 

My undergraduate education in Global Health and Cell Biology sparked my passion for making science accessible and approaching science communication with a patient-centred approach. I aspire to use the culmination of my skills and experiences to meet scientists, patients, students, and the public where they are at and within their respective communication channels. The driving force: my belief that information and representation can save lives and improve quality of life across all sectors.

I am available for custom illustration projects of many kinds. Whether it's a personal project or a commercial application, I work closely with clients to create illustrations that meet their specific needs.
